Data Explorer
Browse, preview and understand your data
Walk through connections, schemas and tables, preview rows on a map, and describe what each column means so maps and widgets can suggest the right thing.
What you can do
- Every connection in one tree. Managed data, sample files and your own databases appear in one browsable tree with search and bookmarks.
- Preview as map, rows or schema. Open any table and see where it is, what it holds and how big it is, before you build with it.
- Semantics. Mark columns as measures, dimensions, time or ids. valueDefine uses this to suggest widgets and to pick sensible defaults.
- Import files. Bring in CSV, TSV, GeoJSON, JSON, Parquet, GeoPackage or SQLite files from your computer or a URL.
- Start from a table. Create a map or a workflow straight from any table.
- Rename for people. Give columns readable labels once and they show up in tooltips, widgets and legends everywhere.
How it works
